Bedrest

click image for creditI am taking it easy today with a self-imposed order of bedrest.

I have a chronic illness called Crohn’s Disease. I’ve had it forever, but was diagnosed with it in 1989. Someday soon I’ll write a post about that FUN summer in ’89, but for now, I rest.

One day of “complete” bedrest usually sends my body back toward wellness. But I really have to be diligent about the rest part. No laundry, no car trips, no cooking, no sitting in my office working. I can work from bed with my laptop, but not all day long.

I’m on the brink of launching so many good ideas for my business that having to check out for a day is really quite inconvenient. But I know from my 20+ years of living with this disease when I have to take care of this body. Luckily, both of my kids are in school and hubby is home today, so I’m covered. And Scout the Dog is on my bed, so her doggie force will help heal me too.

Hope your day is filled with happiness and health. That’s what I’ll be looking for :)

Ooh, hope this day gets you back on track. Does this mean you have time for blog reading and general internet surfing?

Sending you healthy, revitalizing vibes. I bet Scout could use some quality down time, too.

cyn … good for you! even though we know what we need to do, we’re not always smart about listening to our bodies when they need rest.

hoping today is super restful and also filled with some blessings!

You just caught me finishing up my email to you that I started over the weekend! You know all too well how much we need to “listen” to that voice inside. Thanks for the well wishes, Tracie. See you in your Inbox :)
