Cards for Heroes Mini-Blog Hop

inspir-hop

Cards for Heroes is sponsoring a Mini-BlogHop for the holidays! I know… I saw Halloween candy in the stores two weeks ago and thought that was rushing it. But if you make cards for a living OR you’re overseas and rely on an organization like Cards for Heroes, it’s not too early to think Holidays.

Here is my holiday card for all those terrific men & women serving our country. I’ve had these two photos living on my computer for awhile and knew I would use them for a card at some point. I used Photoshop Elements to create the card and used the magic wand to cut out the silhouette. Then I used a blending mode set to multiply. It created a soft and lovely look that says home to me. I hope you and our heroes like it.

I only recently heard about CFH. Since then, RiverDog Prints has been running a promotion for the summer in support of Cards for Heroes. You can read more about that here. The reason I believe in what they do at CFH is I try to place myself in a soldier’s shoes. I would greatly appreciate receiving cards that I could send to my loved ones when I’m so far from home. That’s why I love supporting this organization!

If you would like to get involved, please check out the Cards for Heroes website here. The deadline for all Holiday cards is November 1st.

Thanks for stopping by!

And the next card for the Blog Hop link is right here.
